aspasia is a bhaalspawn, but unlike other bhaalspawn, she wasn't born – she was created from the dead flesh of bhaal himself. she grew up outside the cult of bhaal for the first few years of her life, and was at some point taken in by a couple. she had a relatively peaceful childhood for a time, before succumbing to the urge and murdering her loved ones and foster parents. eventually, she became the leader of the cult of bhaal, and pledged to end all life in existence for her father. at some point, fellow bhaalspawn orin the red joined and served under aspasia. she commanded great respect, admiration, and devotion from the devotees at the temple of bhaal in baldur's gate. inspiring them with sheer ruthlessness, staggering amount of victims, and the intelligence of her schemes and planning. bhaal himself loved aspasia the most of all his children as he had personally handcrafted her body from his own flesh, and filled her with blood directly from his body.along with her fellow chosen of the dead three, she hatched a plan to steal the crown of karsus to enslave an elder brain and create an army of soulless mind flayers to exterminate all life for her father. however, though she and the other two chosen succeeded in stealing the crown and setting this plan into motion, aspasia was betrayed by her sister orin. she had her skull pierced and opened with a dagger, and was infected with a tadpole that began to eat her liquidating brain, resulting in her amnesia, as well as her becoming the first true soul. aspasia was found mangled and barely alive by kressa bonedaughter who, impressed with her willpower and resistance to the elder brain's influence, began to study her. she would cut aspasia open and put her back together repeatedly over the course of several days in the mind flayer colony, during which aspasia was unable to speak or do anything but attempt to inflict violence on herself or others. noticing his wife's sick obsession and hoping to snap her out of it, kressa's husband arranged for the broken and amnesiac aspasia to be sent off on the nautiloid ship, where she would soon wake up with no memories of herself or her past.

Mannerisms.

though unintentional, she most frequently has a rather blank expression on her face. she's usually very detached from day to day life, going through the motions automatically. even during battle or in the midst of a violent outburst, she most often appears calm and emotionless. this is largely due to the near constant headache that plagues her mind, but also simply because she doesn't know herself, what she enjoys, what she likes and dislikes. a lot of the time, she's struggling to figure out the response that is expected of her when something happens or someone speaks to her, trying to guess what a normal person would do or say - because she simply doesn't know. she does have some moments of playfulness, but is most often quiet. save for a select few people her mind chooses arbitrarily, aspasia does not like to be touched. this has numerous causes: her body remembers the torture it was put through and wants to avoid more, she worries about harming people that touch her and therefore tries to avoid contact, she feels she doesn't deserve any sort of kindness and feels no one should have to touch someone as inherently unclean as her. she is not interested in casual sex for similar reasons, and will only consider sleeping with someone after forging a real bond with them. she is quick to engage in risky behavior in search of a cure for her and her companions, such as volunteering for the zaith'isk, agreeing to drink the potion from omeluum, letting volo attempt an extraction, etc. she feels it's her duty to take on these risks rather than anyone else, given how her brain is already damaged beyond repair - no need for anyone else to injure their brains when hers is already in a poor state. aspasia tends to be highly restless, often fidgeting, bouncing her knees, picking at any fabric she can reach, gaze darting around aimlessly. she's also unpredictable, and can appear perfectly serene before suddenly lashing out aggressively. she also tends to avoid mirrors, as seeing her own reflection brings up an unexplainable feeling of disgust.

Personality.

prior to her amnesia, aspasia was a much more cold and calculated individual than her bloodkin, orin. she believed in killing for killing's sake, preferring practical and simple methods over flair and grace, and took issue with extravagant or needlessly creative killings. she was, on occasion, deeply loyal to bhaal, but would nonetheless often stray from her intended purpose. post amnesia, she is rather quiet and overall calm, save for her spontaneous outbursts of "joy". though small in stature and reserved, aspasia instinctively carries herself with the decorum of her former rank; that is to say, with confidence, authority, and intimidation. she tends to walk into a room as though she owns it, naturally leaning into sowing fear to get what she wants from people. this is rarely turned on her companions however, as she would prefer they all remain at least civil. though she isn't much of a talker until she knows someone (and herself) well enough, she's an excellent listener. as time passes and she begins to actually heal from her attack, her cunning and quick wit begin to truly show themselves, and she proves to be highly intelligent and perceptive. she also begins to develop a good sense of humor, and starts bantering with her companions and occasionally smiling and laughing.

The Urge.

the spark of brutality that makes thee his ... the urge is the inherent sickness that flows through her veins and drives her to despicable acts. that foul desire within her to cause suffering and cut her way forward is never far from her mind, flickering in her peripheral vision and pushing her towards cruelty and barbarity. there are moments when it completely takes her over, and she is unable to control herself or her body. it is almost as if her consciousness shuts off, and she is adrift in an oblivion in her own mind before she comes back to herself, often standing above the body of a creature she doesn't remember slaughtering. this is always a jarring experience, and the flood of emotions that come as a result exhaust her; disgust, joy, horror, exhilaration, dread, feeling truly alive. if she's lucky enough to hang onto some scraps of her consciousness, she turns her urge on herself, harming herself instead and using a healing spell to try and hide these episodes from her companions. she wishes she could dig her blades deep enough to cut the sickness out, to free herself of this curse. on an odd, less serious note, her urge causes her to become rather fascinated by beautiful people, and she will often find herself mindlessly staring at them (your mind dances with thoughts of a perfect, pretty corpse). she tries to explain this away at the start, but eventually, the people around her simply need to accept it's one of her many quirks.

Verses.

 act one.  you have nothing in your skull... takes place during the first act. she is reserved, mostly silent as the rest of her companions bicker amongst themselves. aspasia is struggling with constant headaches, severe memory loss and violent overwhelming urges to maim and kill. despite this, or perhaps because of it, she saves everyone she can. she stops to help wherever possible, regardless of it being a waste of time or a lot of work. she commits her first brutal murder of an innocent, and this death weighs heavily upon her going forward. act two.  even in the underdark, i never saw gloom like this... takes place during the second act, namely after the party reaches the shadowlands. she has gradually opened up, beginning to trust her companions to tell them of her lack of memory and dark urges. she resists them at every turn, and also quietly encourages her companions towards better choices - but supports them even if they don't. she resists the order to kill isobel, and nearly ends a companion / lover as a result. she's weary and afraid, the voices in her head that aren't hers draining her and putting her on edge. act three.  crawling back from her bloody disgrace... the noose around her neck feels tighter than ever once within city limits, and she instinctively knows she is close to where it all began. though the pressure only continues to mount, she also feels more comfortable with herself, having had time to build upon the scraps of her personality and mind she'd had left after her incident. she's more talkative, more present and involved in what goes on around her. she's both eager and dreading the end that now seems to be in sight, wishing for peace but also feeling as though she's marching to her own demise. bhaalspawn no more.  who..am i?... she defies her father, and awakens on the bloody floor of the temple of bhaal, body shaking and lungs gasping for air. her urges are gone, and she's broken free of her father's chains. but she can't help but feeling as though she's lost everything; her deity, her purpose, herself. she may have been a vile, brutal butcher as the leader of the cult of bhaal, but at least she'd been someone. now, she is no one. simply a thrall lucky enough to be protected from the voice of the absolute; a thrall with a brain mangled beyond repair and blood on her hands that she'll never be able to scrub clean. she can't help but hope she'll find oblivion after the defeat of the netherbrain.

 return of the bhaalspawn.  you are bhaal's dread prophet... tbh i've only ever done one campaign (out of countless) embracing the dark urge, and i didn't vibe with it really at all. despite that, i'd be willing to discuss plotting and writing it out if requested. post game.  everything you sacrificed, it was worth it for this... what she's doing and where she is can vary greatly depending on who she's with, if she fell in love and paired up with one of her companions. however, her default for post game would see her returning home to the underdark, and aiding the society of brilliance in their quest to make it a less harsh place. she takes over the arcane tower, restoring it to its former glory and making it into her new home. if the spawn are there, she does what she can to aid them as well. general modern.  she's aspasia beauchêne, a socialite and heir to her family's empire. she spends much of her time attending events held by high society, including balls and charities. she excels in the arts, notably ballet and the piano. the vampire diaries / supernatural.  once again, she awakens somewhere unfamiliar, with only a handful of vague memories in her skull. she can't explain why, but she feels as though she doesn't belong in this time period; she can't shake the thought that she has been dead a long time. she quickly figures out she's a vampire, and that she possesses the depraved urge to kill as many people as she can. { essentially, withers sent her to modern times, for who knows what reason. if asked, he'd probably just give another riddle. takes place post game, and her former lust for blood and murder have taken on a physical connotation, turning her into a vampire; a ripper that suffers from a lust for death itself rather than blood. } companion.  she is still a bard, but with an urchin background. (alternatively, she is an oath of vengeance paladin with a noble background). while she was of course raised in the underdark, her inherent love of music drew her to the surface and into becoming a bard. if a paladin, the harshness of life in the underdark drove her to taken on an oath of vengeance, in the name of righting wrongs and punishing evil. before being taken by mind flayers, her main goal was that which all seldarine drow seek: to settle their conflict with lolth and each other.

Backstory.

aspyn was born after three siblings, becoming the baby of the family. she had a normal childhood, excelling in her studies and began showing a gift for the arts. in particular, ballet and painting. she took classes for both, and had every intention of pursuing one of them professionally when she got older. aspyn had a close relationship with her siblings, and got along well with her parents. her family wasn't rich, but they did fairly well for themselves, and all around seemed to have a rather idyllic life.that was until she became a pre-teen, when a dark seed took root. she was saved from a werewolf by a travelling hunter, and they seemed to take interest in her. she didn't tell her parents about the attack, partially because she'd been out exploring on her own when she shouldn't have been, and partially because the hunter said it wasn't safe for her family to know about the creature. as afraid as aspyn had been of the monster, she'd been interested too, and so the hunter took her under their wing. despite her youth, she was intelligent, and picked up on new things quickly. the hunter had an easy time of teaching her about the creatures that hid in the shadows, as aspyn proved to be a quick study.all of this was well and good, aspyn seemingly a natural when it came to being a hunter. however, after a couple years of apprenticing passed, she started to notice disturbing things around her home; signs that perhaps her family weren't human at all. she turned to her mentor of course, concerned by what she was discovering. the hunter was concerned by it as well, and told her the signs she was seeing meant her family were actually monsters. she trusted this hunter, and naturally believed what they told her, leaving her terrified of what this meant for her and her family. the hunter began telling her that her family was a threat to all the humans in their neighborhood, and that they needed to be put down. naturally, aspyn had a terrible time trying to believe such a notion, as she had always loved her family dearly. but with everything she'd learned about how dangerous supernatural creatures were, how could she let them live in good faith? if they were hurting the innocent humans in their area, how could aspyn just turn the other cheek? that's what her hunter mentor was whispering to her, at least.

it of course took years of convincing, and years of aspyn continuing to find evidence of her family being monsters before she devastatingly came to the conclusion that her family had to die to protect the civilians around them. her mentor assured her that this was the right thing to do, and the perfect way for her to prove she was worthy of being a hunter and saving lives. they made a plan of how to execute this, said plan ending with burning the house down. the night came, and aspyn did her part, starting with killing her parents while her mentor started a large fire on the bottom floor. however, aspyn quickly came to a horrifying discovery that chilled her to the bone. her parents were obviously, painfully, completely human. her mentor must've been wrong? aspyn panicked, immediately running out to the hallway to make her way to her siblings' rooms. but the fire had spread far too quickly, her siblings' rooms already engulfed in flames. she had no choice but to flee, sneaking out a back window as the fire continued to grow. she searched desperately for her mentor, completely lost as to what to do now. but they were long gone, and she never saw them again. she'd thankfully already set up an alibi, so that was covered, but now she had to come to terms with the fact that she'd killed her family for no reason.her brother had been the only other member of the family to survive, and that was simply because he'd changed his plans last minute to stay at a friend's house that night. he and aspyn were both called back to their home once emergency services were called to respond to the fire, and they arrived at nearly the same time. their devastation was matched, though aspyn's went much further than alexander could ever imagine. they comforted each other, aspyn nearly being sick with the guilt. but she couldn't handle the thought of telling her older brother what had actually happened, and decided right then and there to take this dark secret to her grave. she moved away not long after, using the excuse of needing a fresh start. she kept in touch with her brother for a while, but they eventually drifted apart, something completely intentional on aspyn's part. she couldn't bare to keep in touch with him, knowing it was her fault that their family had died horribly. she misses him dearly though, and will occasionally and secretly check up on him.

Backstory.

born to a demon and a mother who didn't live through his birth, booker seemed to be cursed from the start. he knew something was off about him from an early age, though he didn't figure out what it was until much later. growing up was difficult for him, as the demon part of him gave him so much rage that he had great difficulty controlling. it took years of teaching himself self-control before he got his anger issues under control, and the growing prevalence of things like yoga and meditation in recent times have helped tremendously as well. he's spent the majority of his existence doing everything he can to forsake the legacy he was likely expected to carry due to the manner of his birth, helping as many people as he can. recently, he has been doing that as a private detective, also taking calls from fellow hunters or hitting the road himself to work on cases. he's done endless research about his kind over the centuries of his life, but has rarely found valuable info to speak of. there's so much he doesn't know, and he's mainly worried about one thing: whether or not he'll go to hell upon his death. perhaps that's why he's always been so focused on avoiding giving in to the darkness lurking in his soul - maybe, if he does enough good in this life, he won't be punished for the evil staining his very existence.he's on the more serious and reserved side, but is certainly known to be able to have a good time now and then. booker struggles deeply with the monster within, and tends to be quiet and contemplative as a result. despite this, he's rather suave and gentlemanly, described by locals as 'a good man'. perhaps surprisingly, he's great with animals and kids, being asked pretty frequently to babysit both. he's a good listener for those who need a shoulder to cry on, being wise in his old age.

Lore.

based heavily on supernatural's lore, with some liberties. while still exceptionally rare, they're not as rare as on the show. they also aren't nearly as powerful as they are in canon; they may be able to go head to head with black eyed demons, but that would only be if they came from a good bloodline and had practiced their abilities. in addition, their powers aren't tied to lucifer, instead inherent to themselves. their strength seems to grow with age, and is also affected by how powerful the demon that sired them is / was. they tend to be more human than demon, just with a few perks and weaknesses thanks to their demonic ancestry. notably, if they aren't careful, their eyes will take on the color (i.e. pure black or white, gold, red etc) of their demonic parent when they get exceedingly emotional, usually angry. they share weaknesses with full-blooded demons, but not to nearly the same level thanks to their humanity.

Backstory.

the result of an accidental and completely unwanted pregnancy, callan was born to drug addict parents that didn’t want him, and they made sure to remind him of that often. they were dirt poor, living in a trailer that was being held together with only duct tape and faith. he often wondered why they kept him at all, when they clearly didn’t want him. as he grew older, he came to understand they were able to get some financial support from the government - made sense why they decided to keep him, considering how money hungry they were.he grew up in a rundown trailer park, surrounded by people of similar ilk to his parents. his only respite was when he was at school, but even then, he was bullied endlessly for his worn down clothes and dirty hair. he had only a couple friendships to his name, and those bonds were really the only light that shone through the darkness of his life. abuse was commonplace in his household, and he would often go to school with bruises and split lips. his father was the main perpetrator of this, though his mother would occasionally join in as well. at the very least, she didn’t do anything to stop it.unfortunately, a childhood of abuse instilled a deep well of rage within him. love was a concept he just didn’t understand, as he seldom received it. he fought frequently, impulsively turning the violence he received onto others. he was just so angry, and the lack of proper guidance as a child him to be incapable of controlling his emotions. it didn’t help that not even being a delinquent was enough to get any real attention from the adults in his life; his parents, when they reduced their physical abuse due to

hhim getting bigger and stronger, switched instead to ignoring him as much as possible. his teachers simply wrote him off as a thug, none of them willing to put any interest or effort into leading this troubled youth to the right path. and with no other family within reach, callan had no positive role models.when he was almost 17, a terrible fire burned his family’s trailer to the ground, leaving only rubble and charred corpses. his parents, in a stupor induced by drugs or alcohol, or perhaps both, had been unable to escape. it was considered as practically a miracle that he’d lived, and considering the criminal records of both of his parents, no one bothered to look that deeply into the incident. he was technically still a kid at this point, and therefore spent some time in the system until he was finally free at 18. he spent a good amount of time living on the streets, taking jobs that paid under the table until he was able to finally rent a shitty little apartment. he continued this pattern until deciding on taking up a full time gig as a private detective.he's never told a soul, but he was actually the one that burned their trailer down, resulting in the death of his parents. he’d been unable to take the abuse anymore, and simply wanted them gone. his mental health and sense of worth the lowest it’d ever been, he’d intended to die in the fire as well. but panic had overtaken him, and disoriented from smoke inhalation, he’d instinctively broken out through a window to save himself. even though he’d also been trying to end himself in the process, it doesn’t change the fact that he essentially murdered his own parents.

Backstory.

born into the infamous provenza family, aurora’s life was laid out for her the moment she took her first breath. the family has been a major player in the mafia for at least a couple generations, making it inevitable that aurora would be involved. violence and death was commonplace in her life from the beginning, leaving her impassive to bloodshed. she was present for brutal interrogations, sitting in on her father’s high stakes poker games, and was taught how to wield weapons before she even reached age ten. there was no love in her household, and the child grew up in a world of aloofness and icy indifference from the adults in her life. when aurora was nearing her eleventh year, she saw her mother ‘fall’ down one of the great staircases in their mansion. rosa was dead by the time she reached the marble floor, her head twisted in an unnatural manner. though it was dark, and aurora was hyper focused on her mother, she could’ve sworn she saw her father at the landing, standing and watching before disappearing into the shadows. no matter how he tried to convince her rosa had simply fallen, aurora knows what she saw. unbeknownst to her, the whole reason alexi killed rosa was because he found out she’d been having an affair; with his brother, no less. aurora was a result of this affair, meaning she isn’t actually alexi’s daughter. he treated her even worse after this revelation, pushing her harder, demanding more and punishing her for less.despite the fact she wasn’t alexi’s real daughter, he had an image to uphold, and he didn’t want to waste the time and effort he’d already put into shaping her into a proper heir, so he continued with her training. she grew smarter and stronger as she aged, doing whatever it took to become the future queen of the provenza empire. however, when she turned eighteen, her father decided it was time for her final test; she would need to kill someone. he took a random person off the street and placed them in front of her, before putting a gun in her hand and demanding she pull the trigger. her rage got the better of her however, and remembering what she saw when her mother died, she turned the gun on him instead, shooting him through the heart and killing him instantly. and since, technically speaking, she passed his test, she became head of the provenza family and empire as a result. the patricide granted her immediate respect within the group, and she easily stepped into her father’s bloody shoes, her intelligence and street smarts taking the dominion to even greater heights of prosperity and cunning than ever before.thanks to the militant style upbringing she received, she had perfect grades all throughout school. like her sibling, aurora went to a prestigious private school, and always came out at the top of her class. her grooming to become a mafia associate continued at home, and she grew to be a rather intimidating and cold woman. she spent little time going out and spending time with people, instead focusing on her education and extra training. it became apparent early on that she was unusually intelligent, and easily understood human anatomy. as a result, she got her education in medicine, becoming a doctor - both for the hospital, and for the mafia. amongst the mafia, she received the title the raven butcher, both for her hair color and the fact that she is scarily good with a scalpel. she is impeccably talented in all things surgery, but also torture. the wounds she inflicts are flawlessly precise, leading her to often be called in when information needs to be forcibly gained from someone, and they need to be kept alive for an extended period of time. in addition, she can easily kill a man and make it look like an accident. she commits this brutality without blinking an eye, such violence as easy as breathing to her. she’s never tried to do anything else, as it’s the only life she’s ever known. murdering her father is the perfect example of the monster hidden behind her sweet smile, and she utilizes that twisted part of her often to get things done. she likes to imagine that her father’s last thought was regret for molding her into the cruel being she is - if he hadn’t, he’d probably still be alive today. or even better, the last emotion he felt being shock that the girl he’d been tormenting for so long was the very person who brought his life and reign to an end.

aurora is an excellent chameleon, able to accurately read people and shape her persona into what she feels they want it to be. she’s done this for so long in fact, that she doesn’t even know what her true self is. in addition, she either doesn’t understand how traumatized she truly is from her past and current lifestyle, or she simply refuses to admit it. she doesn’t talk to anyone about her issues, or the conflict within her. while she enjoys being good at what she does and putting her father’s reign to shame, a part of her wistfully dreams of what her life could be if she was normal. what if she’d been born to an average family, had a typical upbringing, didn’t experience violence and brutality on a daily basis? part of her wonders what her life would be like, and what she’d be like in that version of reality. hence the inner conflict that pulls at her mangled heart fairly often. even so, the realist in her knows there’s no chance of her living a normal life. she doesn’t know any other way to exist, so how could she change anything now? this brutal reality has fostered a nihilistic view of life, which led to her issues with apathy. aurora doesn’t care about much; the list of things she gives a damn about about is very small. it is important to note that when she does care about something, she cares very deeply about it. pretty much everything in her life exists in extremes, black and white, no real room for nuances. this includes the things or people she cares about, leading her to be prone to obsessive behavior or feelings. due to this, she prefers to care about as little as possible, viewing caring about someone or something as a weakness that can be exploited by any of her enemies.hidden behind the solid brick walls she’s built around her heart, there’s probably an actually decent person. but considering she is constantly having to play both literal and metaphorical chess, any chances of the goodness in her to prevail was impossible. she uses her small stature and sweet face to her advantage constantly, letting people underestimate her and making it an easier task to get what she wants from them. aurora is rather detached from her own life, existing on autopilot and feeling as though she’s constantly having an out of body experience.

and felt complete in a way that had been missing for five decades. he was eternally grateful to her, and they remained friends for the rest of her life. he was there for her funeral when she passed, swearing to never let her existence be forgotten. he hadn't realized how much he'd truly suffered without the sun until he was able to walk in it again, and it took him a long time to truly recover from those years of night. walking under the sun and basking in its light was intrinsic to who he was, and being unable to do so without burning was the worst kind of hell he could imagine. the only thing he'd been able to do was to continue on, all with the hope that someday he would find a way to walk in the light again. he continued performing as he healed, travelling the world and making friends everywhere he went. he struggled a bit with the feeling of purposelessness and the idea of eternity stretching out before him, but it was in his nature to remain positive and smiling. centuries have gone by, and he's settled into a routine of van life and performing, moving every few years to avoid suspicion. he mostly sticks to tropical areas, or at least somewhere with beaches on offer. he allows himself to form meaningful bonds more often now, including always having a four-legged travelling companion.

Backstory.

born the middle child of a poor family, rafayel was never a priority. more accurately, he was nothing more than an afterthought. he spent many nights cold and alone, never given the attention he so craved no matter how well behaved he was or how he excelled in school. things only got worse when his parents eventually got tired of him, dumping him on the streets at twelve when they were finally able to move somewhere nicer. he would be an eyesore to their new life, and so he was left behind. raf found himself in a harsh new world, with no one but himself to rely on. luckily for him, he showed promise in street smarts, his focus on education paying off in an unexpected way. paired with his innate physical abilities, and he was rather quickly scouted by the criminal underbelly of the city. though it was seedy as hell, rafayel was finally able to make some money and had stable living conditions for the first time in years. though crime wasn't exactly the career he would've chosen for himself, he doesn't really know how to do anything else anymore. he was eventually dispatched to the united states, both to complete hit jobs and to simply find ways to infiltrate the crime world there. he changed his name upon this move, fully distancing himself from his family and his old life.

born into an unstable home, fern was mistreated and abused from a young age. her father was uninterested in being a parent, and eventually got tired of family life, leading him to cheat on his wife and abandon her and fern. rose couldn't stand being single however, and quickly remarried when fern was five. she disliked her stepfather from the start, finding him to be mean and scary. as she grew older, she found herself on the receiving end of unwanted attention and abuse from him, fostering a deep-seated hatred for both him and abusive men in general. her mother tried to help her, but she was scared of her husband too and was mistreated herself. one day, fern simply snapped - she shoved her stepfather down the stairs, leaving him dead at the base of it with a broken neck. despite the act she just committed, she felt nothing but satisfaction and relief. she bunched up the throw rug at the top of the stairs to make it appear as though he'd simply tripped and fallen before retreating to her room, only emerging when she heard her mother's screaming. she put on her best acting ability, pretending to be shocked and horrified by the sight, despite the glee flowing through her. his death was ruled as an accident, no one caring to look too deeply into it, given how terrible he'd been to everyone in his life. fern and her mother were free of him, finally able to begin healing after all the pain they'd gone through, and fern had discovered her new calling.

Backstory.

Backstory.

born to niran and achara channarong in thailand, he has an older brother and a younger sister. they weren't rich, but weren't poor, either. they lived a decent life, and klahan was happy. that all changed when he was kidnapped at only six years old, one of many victims taken to be groomed into a life of crime. he was trafficked to russia, where his living hell began. he was beaten ruthlessly, taught all about weapons and combat. under the ruse of teaching them to be strong, the adults forced the children to fight each other, with mortal consequences if they refused. klahan, now renamed sila to hide his identity, showed a proficiency in this area, rarely ever losing a fight. though he was only eight at this point, he became a favorite of the boss - something that sounds deceptively like a blessing. the abuse and violence only continued for the next few years, sila becoming more and more vicious. he had already killed at least a couple of his unwilling adversaries during what was dubbed by the adults as dog fights, earning the title mad dog. while being a favorite of the boss didn't save him from beatings or malnutrition, he was granted what most of the other kids weren't: something of an education. he was taught about money and gambling, along with being taught to speak english. he was given extensive training in guns and fighting, along with the proper ways to manipulate people to get them to do what he wants. he continued to grow stronger and smarter and meaner as the years passed, even getting some tidbits of how the whole horrific operation worked. it was likely expected that he would some day take over the gang, but he had no intention of sticking around.at just over eighteen, he lost the only friend he'd managed to make; lost him to his own hands. after the fight that ended with him killing his best friend, he was done. that night, he finally made his escape from the hell he'd been trapped in for over a decade. he suffered severe wounds during his escape, nearly dying from a knife wound just above his heart. but the boy made it to a road, leaving a trail of would-be guards in his wake. not only that, but thanks to his knowledge of the operation, he made off with about forty million rubles (equal to around 680,000 USD) of the boss' money. after recovering enough to ditch the hospital and its fees, he stowed away on a cargo boat bound for america, money in hand. his experience with gambling made it easy to turn his thousands into millions, bouncing from casino to casino as he built up his fortune. he continued his journey until he came upon a failing casino for sale in las vegas. buying it for cheap, it only took him a few years to turn it into an empire. his success led him to purchasing a nightclub, and setting up roots in miami.while he's found immense success and wealth in america, he couldn't seem to keep his barbaric nature under wraps. it didn't take long for him to develop mafia ties, swift with his judgment on those he sees as evil. namely, those who abuse their power by taking advantage of those weaker than themselves. you could call him something of a savior of the weak, though he has a lot more blood on his hands than most. he runs his businesses ethically, keeping anything illegal to a minimum. despite this, he seems to make enemies easily, and is constantly on alert for the next threat. he still gets into fights quite regularly, the rage that was beaten into him for so long is just a part of him now. he intends to work his way up the ranks of the mob, intent on gaining the power he needs for the upcoming battle. he has a plan take revenge on those who took so much from him, and avenge those he lost. he hopes to reunite with his family one day, but only after destroying every single monster that made his adolescence a waking nightmare.

Personality.

sila is a bit of an enigma. he’s a harsh, cold man, yet he has moments of such kindness and warmth that it gives people whiplash. as someone who was so abused as a child, he can’t stand seeing children and women being mistreated. he’s ruthless with most, but is quick to help those weaker than him, especially if they’re being taken advantage of in some way. it’s very difficult to get close to him or earn his trust, but once you do, his loyalty will be unwavering. his poker face is usually impeccable, but once triggered properly, his face is rather expressive. he’s good at maintaining composure most of the time, but can and will react violently at the drop of a hat. it can’t be said that he’s a good man by any means, but at the very least, he does terrible things for the greater good. he’s consumed with rage and grief and an unquenchable thirst for revenge - the times he’s happy are far and inbetween. due to his past, he has severe ptsd. i advise against trying to scare him, or coming up behind him without announcing yourself. when he’s caught off guard, he’s very likely to react violently, even if there’s no actual threat. he would often get jumped when he was younger, and would be beaten severely if he wasn’t able to react in time and successfully protect himself.

he hasn’t yet rid himself of that habit, and will lash out if someone suddenly comes at him out of nowhere. coinciding with this, he is prone to intense paranoia, whether it’s towards things or people.at his very core, no matter how far away from his past he gets, a part of him is still that frightened, terrorized six year old boy. he went from having a normal life, sheltered by a family who loved him unconditionally, to being surrounded by strangers who couldn’t care less about him. it wasn’t long before he forgot what love was entirely; that affection his parents showered him with was ruthlessly replaced by hatred and violence. he was only a child, but suffering became the only thing he knew. he matured far more quickly than he should’ve, and he was completely robbed of having a healthy adolescence. as discussed earlier, he and the other children were forced to fight each other. the adults called these ‘dog fights’, and would place bets on which child they thought would win. sometimes they were given weapons, sometimes they were expected to use their bare hands. sila was large for his age, and showed unusual proficiency in these fights. he seldom lost, hence the nickname mad dog. fighting became second nature to him, as did killing. he became the favorite of both the boss and a lot of the goons, something that you may expect to be a good thing. but what favoritism meant here was the opposite of anything positive. he was trained harder, beaten more often, and forced to fight more people. this led to him being ostracized by the other kids, for probably obvious reasons. he held the record for the most adversaries killed during the dog fights, though each death only sunk him deeper and deeper into his depression and anger. it’s likely that he was expected to one day succeed the current kingpin, explaining why his education was different from those of the other kids. but sila would never truly be cut out for that life, no matter how much brutality he was forced to endure. while he’s capable of terrible violence, he’s never once thought of harming those weaker than him; especially not because he simply enjoyed it. such a thing would surely be required for the kind of gang he was a part of, and he simply wasn’t, and still isn’t, that depraved. while he no longer lives in fear, he’s never truly recovered from the suffering he went through back then. he’s never told anyone about any of it, leading to him instead bottling all of his emotions up. he’s not close to anyone; the closest thing he has to friends is fellow saints. he expects the worst from literally everyone believing every person around him is only there because they need something from him. he resists getting close to anyone for this very reason, though it goes deeper than he probably realizes. deep down, he doesn’t believe he has any merits that would make someone approach him with good intentions. considering what he’s done in the past, no matter how unwilling of a participant he was, his feeling of self-worth is significantly lower than normal. he sees himself as less than human, worthy only of living in misery and solitude. he has no real desire to live, continuing on only to get his revenge on those who ruined his life. despite how cold and brash he seems, he’s helped many people improve their lives. he’s likely so adamant about helping them due to witnessing the suffering of women he’d been around while growing up. while he wishes to reunite with his family, a part of him is scared of doing that. he is no longer the child they would surely remember; he’s so much worse, and he fears their rejection. instead of trying to go down that road, he’s currently focusing on bringing down the people who ruined his life. he intends to gain more power through his mafia connections, with the goal of destroying the group that kidnapped him. intending to fight fire with fire, basically.he’s very difficult to get close to, but once someone manages that, he’s endlessly loyal. he’s protective of women and children in general, and he’s quick to offer them any help he can give, without expecting anything in return. when he’s in love, it’s all consuming. he’s completely focused on his significant other, to the point of being borderline obsessive. while he’s very overprotective, he would never try to truly control his s/o. he knows how dangerous his life is, and how selfish it is to get someone else involved; hence why he would likely want to keep them locked away if he could. a s/o would immediately become a massive liability, one of his few weaknesses that his enemies could try to take advantage of. he’s lost everyone he’s ever loved or cared for, leading to his intense attachment to those who become important to him. in platonic relationships, sila can be considered a pillar of strength. he’s 115% reliable, and his few friends know they can call him at any time, for any reason, and he’ll be there for them. he tends to throw his money around when his friends are involved, paying for cheap things such as food, up to paying off their debts or buying them cars / houses. he makes a lot of moolah, and wants to take care of those who put up with him. essentially, as his relationship with people improves, so does his personality. he becomes more friendly around them, along with being more open about what he does from day to day. if you can get past his abrasive outer layer, there’s a pretty decent core at the center of him.

Verses.

 arc one.     fandomless, crime based. my main verse - where sila is heavily involved in gang activity. he owns a club and a couple casinos, and is notorious in the criminal world for his brutality. despite this, he’s known for taking in sex workers who need help. some refer to him as a pimp, but he simply gives them safer employment. this man is cold and refuses to get close to people, so expect it very difficult for your muse to get him to open up at all. arc two.     supernatural. he’s a hunter, and like the winchesters, has been in the business since he was a kid. his backstory here is very similar to his main verse, but in this au, he was taken in by a group of brutal hunters. he was raised to be a soldier, good only for doing their bidding. this is a pretty flexible verse, as i could have sort of secondary verses for it he were a demon, werewolf, vampire, etc. arc three.     the vampire diaries. he’s been a vampire for about six hundred years, not really getting into trouble, but not doing much good, either. he drinks human blood, has a daylight ring, and is well educated on things going on in the world. he still owns a club, but this one is an underground vampire hangout, where vamps can pay to feed on humans (some willing, some compelled) freely. arc four.     baldur's gate 3. he's a seldarine drow college of lore bard, and can be tav or a companion. if a companion, he can be found nursing a head wound on the shore by the crypt. before the nautiloid, he used his cunning and power to flee the mistreatment men face in the underdark's matriarchy.

 arc five.     twilight. turned into a vampire back in the 1200s, he's been with the volturi for most of his life. while he's never been on a vegetarian diet, he lived peacefully with his coven, only feeding on criminals and other low lives. however, his ability to turn himself completely invisible soon spread to the volturi. his gift is a telepathic one, allowing him to go into the minds of anyone around him to cloak himself (though this likely wouldn't work on shields). he's capable of using his gift on many at once, making him a valuable asset in battle. in aro's desire of complete domination of the vampire world, this was a gift he could certainly take advantage of. the volturi was swift in destroying his entire coven, erasing everyone he'd ever cared for. with nowhere left to go, he didn't fight when being taken with them. considering his ability and how long he's been with the coven, he wears a dark grey cloak, only a step below jane and alec. he feels no real loyalty to them however, kept in place only by corin's ability of addictive contentment. it wouldn't take much for him to abandon the group. arc six.     apocalyptic. a general verse for when interacting with muses set in apocalypse universes or sources. it would most likely branch off his main verse, so he was still a mobster and casino owner before whatever apocalyptic event hit. he surprisingly thrives in a survivalist environment, even if it's paired with the apocalypse. he's a natural at fitting into dangerous situations, and almost enjoys the simplicity of just surviving. arc seven.     apple pie life. a verse where he was never kidnapped, and lived a very average life. upon turning nineteen, he moved to the states to attend harvard law. he's become a very prolific lawyer, and has become exceptionally wealthy. he keeps in constant contact with his family back home, and regularly supports them financially.

Backstory.

born to a long line of witches, opal has always felt right at home around magic and nature. she's been learning magic for as long as they can remember, mentored by powerful women in their family. she's always shown great potential in witchcraft, flourishing into a gifted witch as the years went by. she eventually moved into their own place, a cute little shop on the edge of the woods and an upstairs apartment. she eagerly made this place her home, drawn to the closeness it had to the forest. and thus undergrove mystics was born, an apothecary boasts crystals, herbs, tarot cards, readings, candles, etc. perhaps surprisingly (or perhaps not), the business is popular, both with locals and with tourists that ventured to nola. opal ended up having a bit of a fling with one of said tourists, the affair blessing them with their daughter, ruby. while unplanned and unexpected, opal never regretted the choice to keep and raise the child on her own. she's continuing the family's tradition of mentoring their daughters while also running her store.

Personality.

Backstory.

born in ireland in 1468, rhysand eoin ó cuilinn was brought into a small family of peasant farmers. he was one of six children in his family, though only three of them lived to see adulthood. his life was a constant struggle, as his family had barely anything. they survived on the crops they grew that weren’t shared with their village, meat that their father hunted for and clothing that their mother managed to sew together. rhys searched desparately for a way for him to make a decent living and help his family, but it was very difficult back then for the poor to make it out of poverty. even if he had found a way, the famine of 1497 would’ve likely put an end to that anyway. the already struggling family was hit hard by the famine, his parents eventually both passing away. only he and one of his siblings lived, but only just barely. if he hadn’t been turned and taken by a vampire that had happened to be passing by, he likely would’ve never survived.he was turned into a vampire purely by chance, really. considering his good looks, he’d caught the vampire’s eye. wanting to take rhys as something of a trophy, they’d taken him from his family and turned him. his maker’s attention was fickle however, and after only a couple of decades, they tired of him, and essentially abandoned him. having long lost contact with his family, and not even having any idea if the last living member of his family still drew breath, rhys was completely on his own for the first time ever. this was a massive struggle for him, as he was accustomed to being in the company of at least one other person. being alone was one

of his biggest fears, and he had a difficult time adjusting to being a solitary creature. given his rather sweet and easy-going nature though, he didn’t have too hard of a time making friends. none of them were that deep of relationships however, not giving him the companionship he craved. being alone so much of the time made him learn something else about himself; he had a terrible need for blood, and he was constantly battling back the monster in him that craved it so intensely.

Personality.

when he’s himself, rhys is generally kind, loving, intelligent and giving. but when he loses himself, he’s cruel, selfish, and hungry. he basically has a dr. jaekyll and mr. hyde thing going on, though he tries desperately not to. he’s not entirely sure what exactly causes him to switch; sometimes, he’s cognizant of the red haze obscuring his vision, and can feel his hands and fangs tearing and ripping bodies apart. other times, he will blackout and wake up in a room of bodies, spattered with blood he knows doesn’t belong to him. as much as he wishes to deny it, there’s a beast in him that fights for supremacy, and sometimes wins. he’s exhausted from the constant battle within him, one that’s been raging for centuries. sometimes, he wonders what it would be like to just give in - to not have to worry about coming back, to just let the monster win. he would leave so many bodies in his wake, but at least he would finally be free. the only thing that stops him from giving in is the hope of finding a family, but he secretly wonders how long he can actually hang on.

Backstory.

born out deep in the bayou, river was named for the body of water she was born next to. she was born into a long line of werewolves, her ancestors a mix of born and bitten wolves. unfortunately, she was also born into a community of religious zealots - the kind that believed in something of a werewolf god, and who took their faith very seriously. her father was the leader, and in his madness, declared that river 'has the devil in her eyes' only a couple years into her life. add that to her unusual red hair and coat of her wolf, and she became an outcast of her pack. she was mistreated from there on out, relegated to tasks no one else was willing to do, and would often be on the receiving end of abuse. her education was severely lacking, and anything she wanted to learn, she had to teach herself in secret. she spent most of her time alone, kept away from the rest of the community in an effort to protect them from her 'evil'. of course, she was no different from any of the rest of them, but that meant nothing against the word of their leader. despite everything, she grew up into a beautiful, intelligent woman. and because she'd had to take care of herself from a young age, she was very independent. river grew up to be quite reserved though, rarely smiling or interacting with others; that was what she was accustomed to, after all. even her wolf had never been allowed to run with its pack, as she was kept locked away during the peak of the lunar cycle and fed scraps as an afterthought.the full moon after her eighteenth birthday, everything changed. her cage wasn't securely locked, and she was able to break free in her wolf form. while she wasn't the strongest or largest wolf in her pack, none could match her in her ferocity and fury at being mistreated for the entirety of her life. she got her vengeance on her parents and the community that had so harmed her, laying waste to most of the pack. perhaps her father had been right after all with what he had said about her so many years ago, her viciousness a true sight to see. when she awoke under the open sky the next morning, warm from the sun's light, she was drenched in blood, and was suddenly free of the overbearing presence of her abusive family and terrible community. the bodies of her slaughtered packmates surrounded her, all still in their wolf forms. those who didn't meet their ends fled, and she never saw them again. thanks to the fact that they lived essentially completely off the grid, there was no investigation done on the sudden massacre. she simply left the corpses to the vultures and the alligators, making her way home barefoot and naked as the day she was born. in her simmering rage, she tore down most of the buildings used by the now abandoned community. she tried to erase all signs of those who mistreated her, leaving only a cottage right by the water for her to live in, and the greenhouse. she collected all the money the previous residents left behind, and would use it to fund her life for years to come.

Personality.

while lonelier than she'd ever been, river's life was finally peaceful. she was no longer beholden to the will of others, wasn't treated as a monster or a pariah by the very people she was supposed to be able to rely on. she flourished in her solitude, buying hobby things like an easel, violin, and heaps of books. she was still rather detached from civilization, rarely visiting the big easy. she typically only goes to the city for necessities, though she has managed to attend a few festivals and art shows. thanks to that, and all the practice she got with painting and her violin, she was able to sell her art at these festivals and made tips from playing her music. being free for the first time in her life, she was able to finally become in touch with her wolf, and spent countless hours under the stars, surrounded by the particular peace flavor of the bayou. thanks to how her childhood treated her, she's rather withdrawn, rarely laughing or even smiling. her contact with other people is minimal at best, leaving her social skills rather rusty. she's quick as a whip however, and quite creatively gifted. numerous of her paintings have ended up in exhibitions, and she plans on writing music and a novel or two some day. while she's never truly dated anyone, she's a hopeless romantic at heart, though her brain tells her to be a staunch skeptic.

Lore.

based heavily off of supernatural's werewolves, though i've mixed in a couple other sources. the majority of the month, the most werewolves can do is turn into a combination of human and wolf, as seen on supernatural. they typically transform this way when triggered by something, usually by negative or traumatic events / emotions. but during nights of the peak lunar cycle, they transform into full wolves, their size and look very similar to twilight's wolves. during this time, they lose all control of themselves, their consciousness being taken over by that of their wolf. they go on feral rampages and eating anything they can. they have fuzzy memories at best of their night escapades when they return to human form in the morning, but typically they remember nothing. because of this, wolves either have to live on the outskirts of civilization, or at least keep track of the lunar cycle and go to abandoned areas where they can avoid humans. packs are safe to do this together though, as even in their wolf form, they can tell their packmates apart from a threat or prey. some don't care of course, and some wolves are known to stay in more populated areas during the full moon, feeding on innocent humans as they go. this is heavily frowned upon however, as it risks exposing their kind to humanity. they are very messy when they feed (think jennifer feeding in jennifer's body), tearing into their prey and consuming whatever they want, but always the heart. through self-control, werewolves can choose to only feed on animals. however, those in urban areas are much more likely to feed on humans, given their high population. upon eating a human heart once, it becomes much harder for werewolves to abstain from eating more of them. read more about supernatural werewolves here.

Backstory.

sam (b. may 2, 1983) is a hunter, man of letters, and the king of hell. as an infant, sam was fed demon blood and was given special demon abilities by azazel, leading to him developing psychic demonic powers around the age of 22. later on, he discovers that he is also the predestined "perfect vessel" for the fallen archangel lucifer, and that he was meant to destroy the world. despite this, sam is a truly good and selfless man, and had no desire or intention to do such a thing. after dean sold his soul to bring sam back to life, the younger winchester tried desperately to find a way to stop his brother from going to hell. but despite his best efforts, there was no way to get out of it, and dean was dragged to hell anyway. sam became angry and more determined than ever to find a way to save his brother. while he hadn't done anything with his supernatural abilities in quite a while, he started drinking demon blood and they began to return. he trained and learned everything he could about how hell and the deals worked, while also saving as many innocent people from the grasp of possession as possible. however, his end goal remained the same: find a way to save dean. and if he could also figure out how to prevent the denizens of hell from ever taking and making another soul suffer, then that'd be all the better.while it seemed humans could only become demons by suffering for so many years in hell, sam appeared to be turning into one simply by consuming demon blood and using more and more of his powers. he never changed at his core however, not becoming the twisted and evil creature the demons who heard of his existence were clearly expecting. by the time castiel lifted dean out of hell, sam had taken the throne for himself. while there were many who didn't agree with his coup, it was difficult to argue with his power and his labels of "the prodigy", and "the boy king". he changed how hell worked all together - deals were no longer allowed to be made. instead, souls that committed evils on earth were sent to hell and were judged before a court of sorts. there were new laws written, and only those truly evil were sentenced to spend eternity in hell. those who made deals before sam's reign were judged in the same manner, and many were released from hell as a result of being fairly tried. currently, sam spends a good amount of time in hell, but mainly leaves running it up to some of the older and more experienced demons. he's usually topside, solving cases and helping people. he's researching all he can, and spreading that knowledge to the hunting community.ㅤㅤㅤㅤ they say there was a boy once that came into hell alive. they say he was a just king, a beautiful king. that he was kind and rarely smiled. there was something special about his soul, about the way it never dimmed, no matter how many years passed.

sam is usually sweet, intelligent, compassionate, and independent. he’s also brave and selfless, willing to do almost anything to save the lives of those in need. he takes his job and responsibilities seriously, unwilling to leave a case unsolved. at his core, he simply wants to help people. he has an exceptionally powerful will, and has issues with authority or being forced into things. his mental strength is immense, able to handle high levels of pain and suffering. sam is very empathetic, able to relate to the struggle or pain of others and help them get through it. for the most part, he’s quite forgiving; unless someone really fucked him over, then it’s doubtful he’ll ever let go of a grudge. despite how much good he’s done, sam has never been able to get rid of this intense feeling of guilt, and the thought that he’ll never be able to atone for his sins. in contrast to his typical kindness, there’s also always been a rage in him that he struggles to keep buried. this sometimes comes to the surface, causing him to become violent and go on a rampage.

Backstory.

created not long after lilith, severina has always been considered something of a second in command. despite that, she had a difficult time feeling any kind of love or loyalty to lucifer. especially the first couple centuries after she was tortured to the point of turning into something not so human. she blamed him for what happened to her, and certainly not without reason. even after millennia passed and any memories of her human life disappeared from her mind, she’s never been able to truly commit to him. that’s why whenever someone vied for the throne of hell, she was never that upset about it, nor did she try to stop them. she does, however, despise heaven and its angels like her demonic brethren. she can’t stand their holier than thou attitudes, and how they look down on her for becoming something she can’t control. while she doesn’t go around picking fights with them, she likely wouldn’t turn down the opportunity, either. when it comes to the winchesters, or humans in general, she thinks they’re mostly harmless toys. sure, they’ve certainly done some impressive things, but she refuses to allow fear to touch her. she knows her end will come some day, but she won’t let anyone to hold power over them ever again.

Backstory.

born the final princess of four other siblings, varina is the beloved baby of the royal family of atlantis. her parents are the king and queen, and have been for a long time. rina is unlikely to ever rule herself, given that she's the youngest, but she still enjoys a princess status. life had been going well for their kind for most of her life, getting even easier when humans invented sea travel the last few centuries. however, as ships became more advanced, it became more difficult to lure humans to sea. sirens have begun to have to go to their prey rather than the opposite, resulting in more mermaid sightings and "shark attacks". many sirens, including herself, have taken to spending more time on land for easier access to food. rina usually spends one year on land, versus two years at sea. rina is rather elegant and wise, though she's capable of great brutality thanks to her siren nature. she enjoys going clubbing and indulging in other human activities that have appeared in the last century - the average human lifestyle so different from her life under the sea.

Vampires.

lore for the floresca family. this lore applies to mikhail, eris, and amarande. heavily inspired by vampire knight.

vampires have existed for well over 10,000 years, first appearing when mankind's civilizations began to crumble. at one point, they waged a war against humans, during which purebloods began turning humans into vampires. when the number of vampires began to increase, a monarchy was established to rule the vampire race, the floresca family ruling as the royal family. in more modern times however, the monarchy was abolished in order to avoid authoritarianism. the senate was established to govern the vampire realm, with high-ranking vampire aristocrats in the seats. despite their demoted status, however, the floresca family still holds the title as the highest standing family - and it's well known that a member of the family could bid for a return of the monarchy and many other families would support them.they are sensitive to the sun and are active during the night; however, in reality, sunlight only hurts their eyes and does not actually cause them any physical damage. when killed, vampires will turn into sand. however purebloods are an exception, as when they die, they instead shatter into shards of glass. the most effective way to kill any vampire is to cut off their head or stab their heart using an anti-vampire weapon. they can feed from humans, from a bloodbag, other vampires (pureblood vampire blood is known cause euphoric feelings and a boost in power), or from animals (this weakens them compared to feeding from humans, but is the more 'humanitarian' way to feed).

Purebloods.

they are "pure" vampires without any human ancestry and they can trace their lineage back to the original vampire progenitors. purebloods all possess a series of unique powers, often exclusive only to the certain pureblood or pureblood family. there are currently only seven pureblood families, and their reproduction rate decreased greatly over time; hence why valencia is the last of her family, at least for the moment. conception for purebloods is exceedingly difficult, and pregnancy can last anywhere from 2-5 years. it's also a very vulnerable time for both the mother and the child, and they require extra protection and sustenance to survive the process. due to this, the birth of new purebloods is a joyous occasion, and heavily celebrated. during the human-vampire war, the pureblood population greatly diminished. many purebloods drank the blood of humans during this time thus creating level e vampires to increase the vampire population. consequently, there are few purebloods today. note: they do not marry amongst their own family like in the vampire knight series.relations between the purebloods and the nobles are mixed. noble vampires who are pro-monarchy have a strong sense of loyalty to the purebloods, as opposed to vampires who are pro-vampire council, who view the purebloods as a threat because of their great power. however, no matter what a vampire's political views are, they all have a seemingly instinctual fear and awe for purebloods. the purebloods and the vampire council also work together in order to maintain order in the vampire society by keeping watch over level Ds and exterminating level Es.details. they have ethereal (extremely delicate and light in a way that seems too perfect for this world) beauty and they are immortal, meaning they live forever unless an anti-vampire weapon is used to cut off their heads or pierce their hearts. any other injury is healable, including having one's head cut off or blown to pieces, if a pureblood uses the blood of another pureblood to heal them. their blood is highly prized and many have attempted to drink their blood, this includes both humans and noble vampires. the blood of a pureblood can give vampires new powers. aside from the standard powers shown by other vampires, purebloods have also demonstrated the following:

  • they create familiars of any form they choose, use their powers and control them.

  • decelerated aging : the purer the vampire blood, the longer the life of the vampire. purebloods are immortal, and stop aging physically in their late 20s to mid 30s. they age very slowly and they can only be killed if someone cuts off their head.

  • ability to control lower vampires physically.

  • ability to put vampires and humans to sleep for a short time.

  • compulsion, and erasing memories.

  • telekinesis.

  • morph the flesh and bodies of others transforming them

  • ability to possess the bodies of other vampires.

  • they can also put themselves to sleep for a very long time, even hundreds of years, and be resurrected through a blood sacrifice.

  • they can feel and see memories of others by drinking their blood.

  • their blood can heal human illnesses and give them a small amount of strength. (but a human that drinks a pureblood's blood might die due to their blood being highly poisonous to them).

  • ability to turn humans into vampires and retain complete control over them by becoming their sire, rendering the vampire unable to kill them. the blood of their sire will also prevent an ex-human from becoming a level e vampire.

purebloods - vampires who have absolutely no humans in their ancestry. they are the rarest, most elite, and most powerful class of vampire. the senate holds purebloods in extremely high regard, to the point where it is taboo to kill or even harm a pureblood vampire. purebloods are feared and respected, and as such, are recognized as the ruling class of the vampire race and are treated like royalty. since the heritage of these vampires has never been diluted by human blood, they are the strongest type of vampires in existence and have the most significant powers. additionally, while lower vampires only possess a single special power, purebloods have multiple powers. the powers a pureblood vampire possesses are dangerous to both their fellow vampires and humans. notably, they can destroy any lower vampire with ease. purebloods also have the ability to compel lesser vampires to do their bidding. despite the fact that purebloods are very powerful, they only make up a very small portion of the vampire population. when a pureblood vampire dies, their bodies slowly disperse into small sparkles before shattering into glass-like shards.aristocrats - vampires who have a small number of humans in their ancestry. they are elite vampires with specialized abilities beyond normal vampires. the vampire council is usually made up from their ranks. they are very powerful, but not nearly as powerful as purebloods. they have super strength and speed, and they have accelerated healing. additionally, every aristocrat has a special ability, such as mind control, or the ability to freeze things. these vampires are still able to be compelled by purebloods, but enjoy a much more independent lifestyle in general. when an aristocrat is killed, they turn to dust like all other vampires, excluding purebloods.commons - vampires who have a large number of humans in their ancestry. these average vampires are without any significant special powers. they only have the standard super speed and strength, and they heal faster than a human. they make up the majority of the vampire race.ex-human - humans who have been turned into vampires. they are the lowest form of vampires and are not very powerful. only pureblood vampires have the power to turn a human into a vampire. ex-humans are subservient to the vampire that turned them, being unable to refuse their commands no matter how much they try to fight. furthermore, ex-humans can do nothing to kill their sire, no matter how much they want to. after being turned into vampires, ex-humans are doomed to eventually be driven insane by their own bloodlust and become a level e. the "e" in level e represents the word "end". the only way to avoid this fate is for the ex-human to drink the blood of the pureblood vampire that turned them.

Abilities.

  • standard vampire powers - all vampires display an accelerated healing. the purer the vampire blood, the stronger the healing factor.

  • decelerated aging: the purer the vampire blood, the longer the life of the vampire.

  • ability to erase memories.

  • ability to use animals as a familiar, to watch and listen.

  • telekinetic powers, able to use these highly destructively.

  • aristocrats most commonly display the ability to control an individual element, such as fire, ice, lightning, etc.

  • all vampires have heightened senses like their ability to smell blood from a great distance.

  • super strength, vampires can tear through flesh with ease and destroy large concrete structures (walls, pillars, etc.) and can leap great distances.

  • all vampires have accelerated speed, they are able to appear beside someone instantly.

Hunters.

in order to defend themselves against vampires, some humans ate an ancestor's flesh, creating the vampire hunters which granted them the power and strength to kill vampires. this includes anti-vampire magic and weapons. therefore, all vampire hunters have vampire blood in them but not to the extent that they are classified as vampires, thus they do not benefit from a vampire's longevity and thirst for blood. the vampire hunters protect the human race from the vampires.

Timeline.

  • 10,000 bc the vampire progenitors first began to appear. the floresca line begins.

  • 7500-7000 bc the human-vampire war occurred. vampire hunters were formed as a response.

  • 3100s bc amarande's parents were married.

  • 2230s bc mikhail floresca was born.

  • 1970s bc eris floresca was born.

  • 970s bc amarande floresca was born.

  • 920s bc the florescas move from europe to america. they remain on the move for centuries to come. amarande is put in a coma-like slumber.

  • 1450s ad the family finally settles in the soon to be new orleans. the boundary spell keeping amarande on the floresca estate was cast and she awoke.

  • 1700s amarande's siblings moved out to their own homes, but occasionally return to the estate.

  • 2005 the estate is devastated by hurricane katrina, but the boundary spell holds as it's rebuilt.

  • 2022 amarande finally frees herself from her cage.


Current Changes For Damon.

  • born in florence, italy in 1484 ( currently aged 24 / 539 ).

  • his transition follows canon, and he still left on his own after being "forced" to turn by stefan.

  • he reunites with stefan in 1556 and gets him to drink human blood again, like in canon. the cycle is repeated in 1912.

  • his love ( turned obsession ) for katherine remains the same, along with the rivalry he had with stefan for her affections. he's carried this flame for her for most of his life, though he's tried to extinguish it, especially in the last few decades.

  • i am keeping his ability to transform into a crow, as seen frequently in the novels and in the very beginning of the show.

  • while i won't change his canon interest in elena, i will say it is largely based in her looking like katherine and in his drive to make stefan's life miserable ( at least in the beginning ). i firmly believe even in canon, he didn't truly love elena, simply used her as a placeholder for katherine. and so, rather than fall for elena, i'd like to see my damon fall in love with someone completely different, and break free of the cycle of repeating history with his brother.

  • regarding caroline: he never had a sexual relationship with her. he did still use her as a pawn / living bloodbag because i refuse to completely ignore his abuse of her, but it was never sexual. this also applies to andie - he compelled her into a shadow of a relationship for companionship and feeding, but it wasn't sexual.
